The most teased shoe collaboration, adidas Consortium x BAPE x UNDFTD is finally taking its first steps to physically launch. After teasers appeared for a December 2012 release, unforeseen delays caused a 6-month extended wait. Thankfully camo is still the print, and because it’s also Bathing Ape’s 20th anniversary this year, this Spring release made good timing. (more…)

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is teaming up with Amtrak to bring KAWS’ 16-foot-tall sculpture Companion Passing Through to our very own 30th Street Station (the above picture is from its Fort Worth,Texas stop). The fiberglass and metal sculpture is making its Philly debut next Thursday 4/11, and will remain on display until May 14. Having first appeared in Hong Kong in 2010, KAWS’ Companion character is one of the most recognizable figures in street art culture – so much that was featured as a balloon in the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In an effort to juxtapose the past and the present, companion will face Walker Hancock’s iconic sculpture Pennsylvania Railroad World War II Memorial. (more…)
