STAR WARS IN CONCERT!
The Ubiq team was in OHIO recently (Don’t ask what we were doing, you will see soon enough). And, well some of us are huge Star Wars Fans. We got a chance to see the crazy STAR WARS IN CONCERT show. This is one of the better, new concert performance ideas to come along in a while. Getting to watch clips of the movie and watch them play live music was pretty amazing.
Talk about “May the force be with you”. There was a crazy light show pretty much the entire show that had flames shooting out of the stage at one point. They showed actual clips from all six movies coordinated with the music, the entire time.
There were even STAR WARS props from the actual movies in the house. We asked one of the curators about the pieces and they told us that they take out something like 2 million dollars worth of insurance out on some of the pieces. Check out the Han Solo frozen in the carbonite! CRAZY!
They had a 60ft HD screen playing the clips, and the image was amazing. It made the experience unforgettable. Hearing the music live and watching the film at the same time made you really feel that Star Wars magic.
