Agenda NYC 2013 ReCap Part 1
This past Wednesday and Thursday the Agenda Tradeshow had it’s NYC edition to showcase the best of the street labels showing off their latest designs for Spring and Summer 2013. UBIQ was there in attendance seein’ what’s up to our brand friends in the industry as well as observing the upcoming trends. As expected, prints played a large part in many of the collections, with camo, animal patterns, polka dots and florals battling for attention alongside the bright neons and pale pastels of warm weather palettes. Something nice to look forward to when it’s unbearably brick ass cold January weather outside.
Normally there’d be a montage of NYC streets B-roll, but it was so arctic our photographer Dee was only able to snap this shot of the front of the building on 82 Mercer Street before his index finger fell under hypothermia – because what are we gonna do with a useless photographer?
First cameo appearance courtesy of Jeff Staple and his bright neon green jacket. You gotta give it up when you manage to stand out at a tradeshow where everyone is dressed the same.
The other way to stand out at Agenda? Be a female, as Jeff immediately recognized our Editor Catzie and chopped it up a bit about future projects. Jeff is a walk-and-talk kinda guy, can’t you tell?
Of course, we had to say hi to Arsen and our friends at Hall OF Fame, and if you haven’t been to their 2nd Floor Pop-up Shop at UBIQ then something is wrong with you. Hello, NAS ‘Illmatic’ Gold and Famematic Collection aaand the art of Kevin Lyons covering our walls? Get it together kids.

Joanna from Herschel – we swear we’re not just selecting the Asians for photos. While you might expect buyers, stylists and streetwear editors to flock to Agenda, there were a bevy of unexpected characters as well (no we’re not talking about a Chris Brown Karrueche Tran sighting).
Holy shit it’s everyone’s favorite self-employed Assyrian Arthur Bergamo! (or is it Soleimanpour? WTF is your last name dude?) Wonder what company you are consulting/brand strategizing/cultural integrating/marketing/event producing/fill-in-the-blank for today? This guy is everywhere but nobody knows what he does. Carry on, Arthur.
