Debuted by LeBron James against the Boston Celtics NBA Green Week back in April, here’s a closer look at the “Sport Turquoise” colorway of the Nike LeBron X PS Elite which drops this Saturday May 25th for $260. The greenish hue takes over the shoe’s reconstructed base, while violet handles the inner lining and midsole. Carbon fiber paneling has been treated to a turquoise splatter and volt provides pop on the places, Swoosh branding, Zoom Air bag and outsole. If you’re feeling them, they also come in Grade School for $140 and both sizes will be at UBIQ Walnut.

Another similarly-colored LeBron hitting stores this weekend is the Air Max Lebron X Low “Sprite”. For a number of sneakerheads, the Treasure Blue/Volt colorway aren’t quite close enough to earn the nickname of an old LeBron sponsor. Some folks have even called them “Summit Lake Hornets”, another frequent color scheme from King James’ signature shoes – but we’ll let you be the judge. They’ll be available for $165 at Ubiq Walnut as well.

All the Lebrons mentioned above are in-store only, with phone orders accepted at 12NOON pending availability.

Nike is heating things up in with a special brightly colored Maxed-out Sunset Pack. Featuring some of the Air Max family’s MVPs, each Engineered Mesh silhouette has been dipped in a flaming orange-to-yellow sunset gradient, with black horizon lines above the red bubble-sandwiched midsoles. The fiery colors represent the setting sun, while black accents represent the forthcoming night. The Air 180, Air Max 95 and Air Max 97 will be available for $120, $180, $155 respectively, tomorrow 5/25. In-store only, with phone orders accepted at 12NOON pending availability.

adidas’ strong connection to Boston goes way back. Their involvement with the city’s marathon saw them honor the event with the Boston Super shoe in 1984. The model has undergone a number of transformation. Like its predecessor, the shoes feature soft vintage suede and classic mesh combined with leather 3-Stripes, a distinctive graphic midsole and eye-stay detail at the top of the laces with a ghilly lacing system. Some say the new colorway for these Jordan 8s represents the 20th anniversary of the Bulls victory over Phoenix with its Suns-like colors. However others say the sneaker may have reference the Charlotte Bobcats – the team in which Michael Jordan is the majority owner of. Hmmm, what do you think?


Sir Charles spent some of his greatest years with the Suns and is paying great homage to the team with his new shoe, detailed in orange and purple with a croc print. Who’s feelin’ these?
